| soderbeb | This is actually a pro level stage race. I've gone and watched some of the stages before, but to participate you have to be a top level amatuer or pro. The last time it was held (in 2005) they had a "cyclosportif" ride in Torrington that left just after the pro race and did most of the route the pro riders do. I emailed the organizer earlier this year, and it didn't sound like they had enough sponsors to hold the race this year. If you are looking to get into bicycle road racing, there is an early season series in Plainville in March and April. http://www.plainvillespringseries.com/ There are quite a few other races and non-competative rides as well. Here are some links to New England cycling events: http://www.ne-bra.org/ or http://www.bikeride.com/calendar/events.asp?state=EN&category=all | 02/20/07 04:02:07pm | |||||||
| ryanp2 | would anyone be interested in doing this? You have to have a team to enter: 8 rider maximum, 4 rider minimum. 25 team limit $300 per team for entire Tour. It's at the end of may this year. I don't even know if there are any spots still open but it sounds like a good ride. More info: http://www.tourofct.com/ | 02/13/07 05:02:24am | |||||||
